Apps with a Game Feel

Yode

Personal device registry, knowledge base, and quick-access launcher.

Yode is a lightweight mobile application for Android and iOS, built with Flutter, that acts as a personal device registry, knowledge base, and quick-access launcher for people who own uncommon or "small-series" hardware — routers, CCTV cameras, IoT sensors, toys, and other devices that don't come with a dedicated management app.

With Yode you can:

  • 📍 Register and track what devices you own and where they are
  • 📝 Store setup and troubleshoot info for each device (manuals, notes, vendor links)
  • 🔐 Quickly access device settings via a built-in browser that connects to the device's admin panel
  • 🛜 Discover devices on your network by scanning for active IPs and open ports

It's not a smart home controller — it's more like a trusted device notebook + quick launcher, designed to be lightweight and privacy-friendly (no sketchy permissions, no hidden data collection).

The browser also detects when a user types a username and password into a login form and prompts "Record credentials?" — always with explicit user consent before saving anything.

Network Discovery

Inside the Add/Edit Device screen, a "Discover on Network" section (expanded by default) lets users scan their local subnet for devices with open HTTP ports. Discovered devices appear inline as the scan progresses. Tapping a result fills in the Link field. A preview icon opens that IP in a temporary WebView without leaving the form.

Credential Assistance

Saved credentials are stored per device and are always captured with explicit user consent. The auto-fill feature injects the most recently saved username and password into the login form of the device's admin page. A history overlay lets users see and copy past credentials.

Privacy

Yode is designed to be trustworthy and privacy-forward: No personal data collected — no PII sent to any external server. No analytics — no Firebase, Flurry, or similar tracking. All data stays on your device — the team has no access to it. Advertising — Google AdMob is used to support development. AdMob may collect IP address, advertising identifiers, and device info for ad serving. Users can opt out via OS settings. GDPR compliant — EU users have the right to access, rectify, or erase their data.
